There's no rise in these attacks. It's just that one happens, and then the news finds other ones to report on. Just like if a plane crashes. That week or months, there are more reports than usual.

All dogs should be banned and culled. Their mere existence is a plague to society, to the environment and to our ecosystem. Get rid of all of them.

Banning the breed is like putting a sticking plaster over an arterial bleed. I’m not saying it’s necessarily the wrong thing to do but the problem runs much deeper. I’m not sure what the answer is here. Dogs are being taken on by people who buy a dog based on looks and do little to no research on the breed, what it was originally bred to do and how to manage those instinctive behaviours and are too lazy to put the work in to training and socialising them well. These are huge powerful dogs and this is the consequence.
